How to create a fossil?
Introduction
Throughout history we leave documentation of our existence behind. The dinosaurs left traces of them behind by leaving there bones. It is important to teach children what fossils are and how they impact our life today, if a child is asked to described a fossil this is the best opportunity to show through a creative way. Using had on material is important in art gives the children a creative outlook on everyday material.
Task
The child will be be able to create a fossil replica themselves with out assistance, we will show examples of how "real life" fossils look like but we will let students use there imagination with the pasta in creating a fossil? They can create a "dinosaur" using any shapes and they are allowed to use there creative side to make there own interpretation of what a dinosaur fossil looks like.

Conclusion
The student should be able to identify with what a actual fossil looks like and how to create an actual fossil with macaroni. The students should be able to identify with what a bone fossil looks like and how a plant fossil looks like. They should also be able to describe what a real fossil comes from.
